Live From Sierra Nevada Beer Camp

Tomorrow morning at 9am I’m getting on a plane headed for Chico, CA.

Ken Grossman and Co. were kind enough to invite all of the gold medal winners from this year’s National Homebrew Competition to his “Beer Camp” at Sierra Nevada.

The camp is 2 days of tours, tastings and other assorted beer nerdery.  The final day wraps up with our group of campers brewing a recipe on the pilot system at the brewery.  We’ve been working out the basics over email for the last week and it looks like we’ll be making a malty brown/stock ale.

I’m going to try to keep a running play by play on Twitter – follow me @hopwild if that’s your thing.   I haven’t joined the smartphone revolution yet though so pictures and @replies might have to wait until the evening.
