Keep your favorite no-rinse sanitizer in a spray bottle.
Next time you mix up a batch of sanitizer, save some extra in a spray bottle or two. You can find sprayers like the one pictured here at your local hardware store and sometimes at the grocery store.
Star San works particularly well, but you could use other brands. I would be careful with anything that can easily leave a stain though, like iodine.
You will find lots of uses for this simple tool. Here are a couple of quickies.
Spritz small items. Bottles and caps or your hydrometer and sample jar. Faster and easier than trying to make a whole container of sanitizer.
Sanitize oddly shaped items. Like a racking cane or sample thief that don’t quite fit into a normal bucket of sanitizer.
Fruit flies in your faucets. If you get fruit flies in the spouts on your kegerator faucets, use the spray bottle to give them a quick rinse after you’re done pouring.
In the long run you will use less sanitizer which will save a few dollars. And who doesn’t like to save a little money?
